The lot you choose for your new home is as important as the design of your home. There are several items to consider:

• Do you want city sewer and water service or are you comfortable with a well and septic system?
• How much property do you want to maintain?
• Do you desire to build within a specific school district?
• How far are you willing to commute to your place of employment?

Each piece of land has its unique charms and challenges, and it is important to have your builder walk the property with you before you purchase to ensure you can place your home on the lot the way you would like.
